Having  worked with a wide variety of clients over the years,  number of clients have gone on to college or have returned to college or programs to finish with their degrees.

One young man who was bullied as a child and an adolescent had become very reclusive after high school.  He didn’t go out and socializing was painful and frightening.  He recently completed a degree at a local college and has just accepted his first job in engineering.  Once he remains employed and has saved money, he plans to find his own place to live as he’s becoming more ready to leave his parent’s home.

​An adult who raised an adoptive child with a great many issues and whose husband died has now begun to travel and explore the world.  Finding meaning for herself and what she wants to do in life has become a driving force.  She’s taken back her life and is exploring what she wants for her future.

An adult male has been exploring his relationship with his wife and family and has begun to find new meaning.  He’s able to identify why the relationships are important and now values what they are.  He’s become quite good at looking at his feelings and thoughts and has made changes to make his life feel richer.

​An adolescent examined her fears about the future and how she could manage them.  She looked at her goals, sexuality and relationships in order to plan the direction in which she wanted to go.  Proudly, she left for college this year.

​One child was unable to make friends and felt betrayed by his peer group.  He has begun to take some risks by    joining activities and reaching out to make some friends.  Now that he has some friends and feels more included, his depression has lessened and he’s able to deal more successfully with other personal issues.
